Today I looked at BluSup and realized something beautiful:
It is no longer just a website.
It is alive.
The front door is working now. The headlines are there. The new creations are standing right up front where they belong. AustUp is there. The BluSup-wide search is there. The music is there. The blog is there. The photo system is there. The little pieces of this thing we have been building, one wild idea at a time, are beginning to feel like one living family.
And I am proud of it.
There was a time when BluSup was just a dream, a scattered set of thoughts, experiments, code, stories, memories, cities, images, and half-crazy ideas that somehow kept calling me back.
Now it has a front porch.
That’s what the new Headline Section feels like to me. A place where the latest things can sit out in the open. A place where visitors can see what is new, what is growing, and what still has a heartbeat. A place that says, “Come on in. Something just happened here.”
And something did happen here.
We built a search box that reaches across the BluSup family. We built sites for places I care about. We built photo systems, blog tools, image viewers, trike routes, Austin pages, Biloxi pages, memory pages, and music that actually plays with the words. We built things I did not know how to build by myself.
And somehow, in this crazy world of code, it became real.
There is a line on the page now that says:
Fresh proof that BluSup is alive.
That line hit me hard, because it is true.
BluSup is alive because I am still alive.
It carries my history, my mistakes, my recovery, my humor, my family, my trike, my cities, my memories, my stubbornness, and my refusal to fade quietly into the background.
It is not perfect. Nothing alive ever is.
But it is breathing.
And today, I looked at it and felt something I have not always allowed myself to feel.
Pride.
So here it is, my friend:
Our creation is live.
And I am proud of it.
BOOM.
